Venue / Venue Rules
Spectators may set up their tables, chairs or tents along the Arena/Track fence line. You can also set up along the residential fence line on either side of the track, provided that you do not impede Lane 8.
There are plenty of shade options at Central Reserve.
We have the Clubroom shelter, a number of trees are around the Venue which can be used if you choose to set yourselves up in those areas. Please ensure you bring a supply of sunscreen, a hat, water bottle, umbrella, etc in preparation of hot weather. Be sun smart! Also ensure to prepare for any wet weather conditions that may come about.
Toilets are located in two areas; inside the Clubrooms and up on the hill.
Please ensure you keep these areas clean.
Venue Safety is very important. Three main rules are:
1. No crossing the Sprint Track at any time - with the exception of First Aid
2. Do not cross through the Discus throwing sector at any time - not even First Aid (unless an emergency)
3. The Arena is off limits to Parents. Only WLAC Key Officials, First Aid or Athletes are allowed on the Arena.
Car Parking is provided North of the Athletics Facilities. You can enter the "Top Car Park" compound either via Springvale Road or Waverley Road. The small Car Park space behind the Cricket grandstand is reserved strictly for WLAC personal or Cricket personal ONLY. Any other persons found parking there will be advised to move.
Parking in local surrounding streets should be a last resort. At no time should anyone park in a residential Court area. Emerson Street Glen Waverley is off limits to WLAC patrons, this is our emergency access point.
Fraser Street, Vermont Street, Glenwood Avenue, Kurrajong Avenue and Kauri Grove are the only surrounding Streets in the area should you need to find alternative parking.
Rubbish bins will be placed strategically around the Venue, so please ensure you use them!!!!
