Sunday Coaching School - Conversation with Brett Green

Empowering people to contribute with confidence at a level to which they aspire 

The Little Athletics NSW Sunday Coaching School supports ongoing coach learning and development. The sessions, held live on Zoom, feature leading coaches as guests. Participants regularly have the opportunity to submit questions prior to, or during the sessions.

To attend a session, pre-registration is required. It is FREE to register.

About Brett Green

Brett Green is a Level 5 throws and Level 3 Middle/Long distance coach who has been coaching for more than 35 years. During this time he has coached numerous athletes to Commonwealth Youth, World Junior, World Youth and Commonwealth Games.

He is currently the Head of Helensvale State High Track And Field Academy (whose alumni includes Sally Pearson and Michael Shelley). He is also the Papua New Guinea Head Coach for Throws, the Queensland team coach for Throws and the Queensland Target Talent Program throws program coordinator.

Brett's coaching philosophy is that everyone has some sort of talent and ability, and that his task as a coach is to guide the athlete to explore and find this talent, then arm them with the tools to enhance it to the full potential. He also believes that sport prepares the individual to cope with the trials and tribulations of life. It is not what happens that is important but how you respond to it.

After sharing a bit about his coaching background and philosophies, Brett will answer questions submitted in advance from the attendees. Live attendees will receive the added bonus of a "Inside Scoop" live Q&A session that will not feature in the session recording.

The recording will be paused at a designated point in the session to allow for live audio questions from attendees.
