It is my pleasure to inform you that the BFI, in conjunction with FIBA will be conducting one (1) FIBA Coaching Certification courses in India.  The Level 2 course will take place in Chennai from 24th to 28th November 2014.  Only those coaches who have passed the Level 1 Certification Course will be allowed to participate in the Level 2 Course.  

Curriculum will be based on FIBA “Basketball for Young Players” book & CD for U13-U18 (can be found at http://www.fiba.com/pages/eng/cl/training/p/bb-for-young-players.html)

Program Schedule:

• 5 day clinic
• Days 1 – 2:  Theoretical Class Sessions
• Days 3 – 5:  Practical Teaching Court Sessions
• Day 4:  Examination (at discretion of the Instructor)
• Level 1 Certification Passing Requirements:
• 1 - Passing of examination (Instructor will determine pass criteria and inform duirng course)
• 2 - Practical Teaching Court Sessions will also factor into passing of Level 2 Certification.  Practical session passing will be at discretion of FIBA Coach.

• English speaking (must be able to understand and write in English)
• Active Coaches
• Coaches interested in potentially coaching State, National and International Level teams

• Applications will be reviewed by FIBA and BFI and deserving applicants will be selected and informed through a confirmation email sent from the BFI.  
• Please note no coaches who have not taken and passed the FIBA Level 1 Coaches Certification Course will be allowed to enroll in this program.  

All costs of attending the course - Room & Board, transportation, etc. - are the responsibility of the attending coach.  Please note there is no registration fee for attending this course.
