Once again Pemberton will host the Pemberton Classic in 2015.

Novelty Events for the Kids

If you have a bike and are aged between 3 and 10, come join us for a morning of bike filled fun.

From 10am to 11.30am at the Pemberton Playground in Brockman Park, Pemberton.

Activities include: a Bike Decorating, Bike Wash, Obstacle Course and Make a Name Plate for your Bike.

All participants receive a drink and an icy pole. Please remember to bring a water bottle, hat and sunscreen.

The Pemberton Classic Childrens event is designed for Children aged 3 to 10 years.


Criterium - "Race around the Town"

From around 3.30pm
Registration ouside the Pemberton RSL Library, Brockman Street, Pemberton - opposite the Post Office.

4.00pm Road Closed

Prior to the road closure at 4.00pm these are roads are public access.  Please respect other road users and the road rules, particularly that of riding on the correct side of the road.


Criterium Race Commences @ Pemberton Post & Newsagency (Cnr Brockman Street (Vasse Hwy) & Ellis Street, Pemberton). Criterium Race – 1.5km Road Race Circuit Loop Brockman Street and Railway Crescent.

Riders should be near the Start Line well advance of their start time in case of significant changes to start times.

  • 4.10pm U13 Boys & Girls – 10 minutes + 2 laps
  • 4.10pm U15 Boys & Girls – 10 minutes + 2 laps
  • 4.25pm D Grade Men – 15 min +2 laps
  • 4.25pm D Grade Women – 15 min +2 laps
  • 4.25pm U17 Girls – 15 minutes + 2 laps
  • 4.50pm U17 Boys – 20 minutes + 2 laps
  • 4.50pm B Grade Women – 20 minutes + 2 laps
  • 4.50pm C Grade Men – 20 minutes + 2 laps
  • 5.20pm A Grade Women – 30 minutes + 2 laps
  • 5.20pm B Grade Men – 30 minutes + 2 laps
  • 6.00pm A Grade Men – 40 minutes + 2 laps


  • All distances, start times and neutral zones subject to change at the discretion of the organiser and in consultation with the Chief Commissaire.
  • Grades can be amalgamated at the discretion of the organiser and in consultation with the Chief Commissaire.
  • Electronic transponders will not be used for the Criterium.
  • Places must be claimed with the Race Commissaire.

Road Race

7.00am Registration @ Pemberton Backpackers, Cnr Brockman St & Club Rd, Pemberton

Racing Commencing @ Commissaire's discretion

Road Race Short Loop 7.3km - Club Rd, Pump Hill Rd, Stirling Rd, Vasse Hwy and return to Club Road.
Road Race Long Loop 35.2km - Club Rd, Pump Hill Rd, Stirling Road, Channybearup Road, Vasse Hwy and return to Club Road.

  • 8.00am C Grade Men – 70.4km (2 full laps)
  • 8.05am D Grade (Novice) Men – 42.5km (1 short loop + 1 full lap)
  • 8.05am D Grade (Novice) Women – 35.2km (1 full lap)
  • 8.15am A Grade Men – 105.6km (3 full laps)
  • 8.20am A Grade Women and U17 Boys – 70.4km (Race of 70km) (2 full laps - a 400m neutral zone, race starts at Lefroy Bridge)
  • 8.25am B Grade Men – 77.7km (1 short loop + 2 full laps)
  • 8.30am B Grade Women, U17 Girls and U15 Boys – 42.5km (race of 41km) (1 short loop + 1 full lap - a 1.5km neutral zone before racing starts, start at top of Pump Hill)
  • 8.40am U15 Girls, U13 Boys, U13 Girls, U11 Girls – 35.2km (race of 20km) (1 partial lap - a 15km neutral zone before racing starts at Silkwood Winery office entrance)
  • 8.45am Participation Ride 35.2km (1 full lap)


  • All distances, start times and neutral zones subject to change at the discretion of the organiser and in consultation with the Chief Commissaire.
  • Grades can be amalgamated at the discretion of the organiser and in consultation with the Chief Commissaire.
  • Road Race Distances (35.2km is one long loop lap, 7.3km is one short loop lap).
  • Short loop will be ridden first before long loop where applicable.
  • Electronic transponders will be used for the Road Race.
  • Places must be claimed with th Race Commissaire.
  • U17 Men, U15 Boys and Girls and U13 Boys and Girls have a neutral zone before racing commences (see above).
  • U13 riders will need to be chaperoned by a licenced adult rider.


1.00pm  - Prize Presentation at the Gloucester Motel, Ellis Street, Pemberton

  • Drinks available for purchase

Please take a moment to read the important notes and conditions of entry below:

  • Whilst the organisers of the Pemberton Classic make every effort to ensure the event takes place as planned, all or part of the event may have to be cancelled due to reasons beyond the organisers' control.  In the event of such an occurence, Entry Fees will be reimbursed where at all possible.
  • Divisions of less than 5 riders may be merged with suitable categories at the Commissaire's discretion.
  • For Cycling Australia Recreational Licence holders, Cycling Australia Day Licences are available when nominating for the event, please make sure that you bring your receipt with you on the day.
  • Cycling Licences must be supplied on the day/or a current receipt of licence if licence is not available.
  •  If you purchase a day licence online you are to bring the receipt to the event
  • Registration is not applicable to the Childrens Fun Event. Parents can enter children on the day.
  • No individual support vehicles allowed to follow riders
  • CycleSport WA timing system will be operating (road race only)- so please pick up and return your wheeltags and transponders at the registration desk. We suggest you retain the wheeltag holder for future events.
