JETS Membership 2015/16

Join the JETS in 2015/2016 Season!

 

The JETS (Junior Encouragement and Talent Squad) is the official Little Athletics NSW development program for dual-age group athletes. It aims to recognise, reward and foster emerging talent in the sport. The program gives athletes up to the U17 age group (minimum age U12) the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge and performances to a higher level in an enjoyable social environment.

 

What does the program offer?

JETS is a camp based program that offers athletes an opportunity to live and breathe athletics in a fun environment. The camps will provide quality training sessions, workshops & fun team bonding activities.

 

Who is eligible?

Any athlete who is registered as a dual athlete (Little Athletics NSW/Interstate & Athletics NSW, U12-U17 age groups) and achieved the standards in their chosen event. Click HERE to check the standards. Please use the standards from the age group that the athlete was in the previous season e.g U15 this season can use his/her performance as an U14 age group. (dual registered athletes interstate are eligible to apply)

*Standards must be achieved at achieved at any LANSW or ANSW competitions, school zone, region, state or nationals but excluding school carnivals) during 2015.

Note: As part of becoming a JETS member you must become dual registered with ANSW for the 2015/16 season. To find out more about dual registration please contact the office on 02 9633 4511. LANSW will organise dual registration on your behalf or alternatively you can organise your own dual registration through ANSW by calling 02 9746 1122.

 

What are the fees for membership?

The fee for becoming a member of the JETS during the 2015/2016 season is $60 including GST, which entitles membership of the JETS program from 1 October 2015 until 30 September 2016.

              

Program 

               Camp 1 – Friday, 30 October to Sunday, 1 November 2015

               Camp 2 – Sunday, 10 January to Wednesday, 13 January 2016

               Camp 3 – Tuesday, 5 July to Friday, 8 July 2016

 

All camps to take place at the Sydney Academy of Sport at Narrabeen and are at an additional cost to the membership. Attending all camps is not compulsary. 

 

Are there any other conditions of membership?

The standard of behaviour of all JETS members reflects on the image of the JETS program and Little Athletics NSW as a whole. As a condition of membership, athletes will abide by LANSW’s Code of Conduct and Behavioural Guidelines for athletes (See littleathletics.com.au). Serious or continuous breaches of any of the items on the Code of Conduct and/or Behavioural Guidelines, or incidents of any other behaviour that could damage the squad’s or the sport’s image will result in the offending squad member/s being dismissed from the squad, without refund of monies paid.
