T16052: NSW U19 and Elite Omnium Championships ft. Graded Omnium Carnival

Entry Fee:
- $45 - Omnium Championships
- $40 - Omnium Carnival
Age Categories & Eligibility:
- The Omnium Championships are open to U19 and Elite aged riders.
- Masters with an Elite RACE membership will be eligible to compete in the Elite Championships.
- The Omnium Carnival is open to U17 - Masters aged riders only.
- Age Categories for this event are as per 2017 ages effective from 1st October 2016.
- This event is not open to Day Memberships, 3 Race Permits or Regional memberships.
- Financial Cycling Australia 'Race' members only. Valid membership card must be presented at sign-on.

- Sign-on - 11:30am - 1:00pm (located at Rider Entrance)
- Warm-up - 12:00pm
- First Race - 1:00pm
- Sign-off - 2:30pm - closing (located on the infield)

The Omnium Carnival will be graded into groups depending on number of entries. We will be working with a minimum of 8 per grade and if there are sufficient entries, we are aiming for 4 grades. Men and Women will ride together.
Technical Regulations:
The Championships will be run as per new UCI regulations introduced 14th October 2016. In instances requiring a rule that is not stated in the UCI regulations, guidance will be drawn from CNSW TR-13 and CA TR-3.60. See table of distances below:

All Omnium Carnival events will be run loosely based on the same Technical Regulations and as per JW19 distances.
Tempo Race: The Tempo Race is new to the Omnium discipline. It is outlined in the UCI Technical Regulations however to reiterate we have outlined it here.
- The race will be conducted similar to a stand-alone points race in all respects other than the points below.
- After the first 4 laps, a bell will be rung signalling a sprint to occur with every subsequent lap.
- The first rider across the line with each sprint will earn 1 point towards their Tempo Race tally.
- A rider gaining a lap on the main field will be awarded 4 points.
- Any rider losing a lap to the main field will be withdrawn, forfeit any points earned and ranked based on the number of remaining riders.
Prize Money & Presentations:
- Cycling NSW Championship Medals will be awarded for the Omnium Championships.
- The will be prize money on offer for the Omnium Carnival
- Presentations will be held at the conclusion of the final event.
- Prizes will be available for collection at the completion of the final event.
- Results and updated standings will be posted on the noticeboards on the infield and to the Buzzy page.
- Results will be posted to the CNSW website at the conclusion of the event.
General Information:
- There is ample parking at Dunc Gray, please park in the allocated visitor parking bays and NOT on the grass or entrance area.
- Entry for all patrons is via the Rider entrance. Upstairs spectator entry will NOT be used.
- Changerooms and toilets will be accessible and are located at the rider entrance. Please be sure to make use of these facilities as anyone found changing in the infield could be subject to fines from race officials.
Spectator & Handler Fees:
- Handlers:
- $10 - Handler - CA membership is required, membership card must be handed in upon purchase of pass.
- $5 - Infield Kids - Must be accompanied by a paying guardian at all times. Please do not let kids roam around as the infield can be a dangerous place.
- Spectators:
- $10 - Adult
- $5 - Child (14yo and younger)
- Spectators are not allowed to enter the infield at any time.
