2016-2017 Echo Rip to River

Online registrations for the Echo Rip to River have now closed.

  • Echo 10km Classic Run (start time 8:00am Pt Lonsdale Beach below the lighthouse, check in first at PL surf club)
  • Echo 10km Walk (start time 7:30am Pt Lonsdale Beach below the lighthouse, check in first at PL surf club)
  • Echo 5km Beach Run (start time 7:30am Ocean Grove Main Beach)
  • Echo 1.4km Ripper Nipper (start time 8:00am Ocean Grove Main Beach)

 

Walk in registration points will be open from 2pm - 6pm on Friday 30 December in the OGSLSC Lounge for all events; then again on Event Day Saturday 31 December from 6am at Pt Londale SLSC (for the 10km walk and run) and from 6am in the OGSLSC Lounge (for the 5km run and 1.2km 'Ripper Nipper').

Entrants who have applied online will be allocated their numbers during these times; last minute registrations will also be taken, subject to availability. Walk in registrations will close 30 minutes before each event.

 

Rip to River Singlets will be available for purchase from Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club on 30 and 31 December at the above times.

These events are all held on the beach.

In case of extreme weather conditions a reschedule date will be advised.

Walk in registrations are priced as follows:

  • Classic 5km and 10km age 18+ $50
  • Classic 5km and 10km under 18 $30
  • 10km walk age 18+ $50
  • 10km walk under 18 $30
  • 'Ripper Nipper' age 7 - 13 $20

 

 Medals will be awarded for winners of all Run events.

Prizes will be awarded to First Male and First Female across the line in the Echo 10 KM Classic Run.

 

Age categories are determined by the entrant's age at the time of the event.
