World Archery Star Event

Part of the National Match Play series

WHEN:  Saturday 27th  & Sunday 28th January 2018

WHERE: Canberra Archery Club's ground, Southwell Park, Thurbon Av off Mouat Street, or Northbourne Ave, Lyneham (behind outdoor hockey centre).  See our web page www.canberraarchery.com.au

TIME: Registration from 7:30 am Saturday 27th 

Note: Archers will be required to show a current Membership Card at Registration.

Saturday: 1440 rounds.  Practice commences – 8:30 am, First scoring arrows – 9:00am. 

Lunch will be at the conclusion of the second round, and 6-arrow ends will be shot for the shorter distances on Saturday.

Please indicate your preference for an individual face or full face when entering.

Sunday: 720 rounds then match play.  Practice commences – 8:00 am, First scoring arrows – 8:30am                           

FEES: One day:  $42.00, Both days $72.00

*Please note that lunch is NOT included with the entry fee.

  

CLOSING DATE: 12 January 2018.  

Refund of entry fee only if notice is received prior 19 January 2018

Places on the shooting line are limited – Priority order will be based on the date the entry form is received.   Hint – get in early!!!!!

Men & Women compete together

For L & B matches a min of 4 archers is required, no match play for crossbow.

The seeding for entry to the match play for Senior and Juniors (who shoot a mixture of 720 round distances) will be based on the handicap rating for the score shot.

National Match Play Series:  If you want to compete in the National Match Play Series you must enter the OPEN division on Day 2.

DRESS CODE: Since archers are on public display at tournaments, they shall be dressed in club, Regional Governing Body, National or other approved uniform.   No jeans or camo clothing.

LUNCH/FOOD: Sufficient time will be allowed for those who need to go to the shops at lunch time to buy lunch.  This year we are NOT providing lunch.

ACCOMMODATION: Let Google be your friend !!!

RULES: The tournament will be a WORLD ARCHERY registered event.   WORLD ARCHERY Rules will apply for the conduct of the competition and where applicable AA rules will apply for the non WORLD ARCHERY rounds and equipment.  All shooting is to be conducted from a common shooting line, operating under a single timing system.

Crossbow:  Non ACT crossbow shooters will have to apply for an ACT Prohibited Weapons Permit.  Please contact Stuart Atkins (treasurer@archery.com.au) for a copy of the permit and procedures for applying for a permit, well in advance of the event.
