Coach Course Presenter/Assessor Application

ARCHERY AUSTRALIA NATIONAL COACHING PROGRAM
COACH COURSE PRESENTER/ASSESSOR APPLICATION

I wish to be considered for National Coaching Program Coach Course Presenter/Assessor accreditation.

GENERAL INFORMATION

As part of the roll out of the Archery Australia Coaching accreditation process it is imperative that we ensure ALL the coach courses are delivered by suitably qualified course presenters and that course participants are assessed by suitable qualified assessors.

Archery Australia needs to ensure that the process for accrediting archery coaches is of the highest calibre and that the process/content is standardised across all of its member bodies.

There will be two levels of course presenter and assessor accreditations:

Level 1 AA Course Presenter and Assessor

Competencies:

  • To be able to facilitate/present the approved Community Coach and Level 1 AA Coaching Modules
  • To assess applicants through both written and practical components in line with AA Coaching Assessments for Community Coach and Level 1 Coach
  • A minimum of 2 years of continued participation within Archery Australia

Level 2 AA Course Presenter and Assessor

Competencies:

  • To be able to facilitate/present the approved Level 1 & 2 AA Coaching Modules
  • To assess applicants through both written and practical components in line with the AA Coaching Assessments for both Level 1 & 2.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Level 1 Presenter

Accreditation process:

  • Attend Archery Australia Course Presenter/Facilitator/assessor Workshop
  • Complete Presenter/Facilitator/Assessor courses as delivered by the relevant State/Territory Officiating centres (see attached links):

Initial Course Presenters and Assessors Accreditation

To ensure Archery Australia has the capacity to meet the immediate needs of its members and prospective Coaches, Archery Australia will initially accredit, where possible, a maximum of two Course Presenters/Assessors (with at least 1 Level 2 ) per RGB by recognising prior learning.

It will also be a requirement that to maintain this accreditation they undertake an AA Presenters workshop and participate in the relevant course presenter and assessor courses run by the relevant approved body in each geographical location.

Expressions of interest (EOI) will be requested from individuals that wish to gain accreditation stating their experience and any additional certification attained.

The applicants will be expected to be an active member of Archery Australia with at least 4 years of experience. (This term may be reviewed dependent on relevant tertiary qualifications).

If there are no initial applications for a given RGB, Archery Australia will supply a qualified Facilitator/Presenter/Assessor to those RGBs to conduct the Archery Australia Coach Accreditation Workshops as required.

All interested parties please must complete this online application.

Application will be due to Archery Australia no later than 28th Feb 2017
