With the recent requirement for qualified traffic control marshals to attend cycling races, there has been a cost imposed upon cycling clubs for the conduct of their normal club races and events.

Roads ACT has been generous in offering completely subsidised training for Traffic Marshalls for the cycling and triathlon community so that this cost imposition can be minimised and volunteers (or club appointed marshals) can fulfil the marshalling duties at cycling events.

The Training provider  has been engaged by the ACT Government to cover the initial training of the cycling community so that there are sufficient people registered within the club network to undertake safe and effective traffic control operations through qualified people being manned at turnaround and crossing points.

At the completion of this training, candidates will have the appropriate qualification, recognised by the ACT Government, to undertake Road Marshal Traffic Control Operations at cycling events.
