2017 Judo NSW Awards Dinner

The Judo NSW Annual Awards Dinner is a time to honour the people who help to make Judo NSW so successful both in the National and International Arenas.


The 2017 Dinner will be held at the Bonnie Doon Golf Course Banks Avenue Pagewood NSW 2035 on Saturday 18 November 2017 from 7:00PM.


Online Bookings now close Midnight Sun 12 Nov 2017.


The cost is $80 per head for adults.  This includes a three course dinner - excluding drinks.


There is also a 'childrens meal' package (2 Courses) for children (under 13 years) at $50 per child.


The 2017 Awards Dinner will include the following Award Categories:


1. Individual Male & Female competitive-based awards (no nomination required)

a) Seniors, b) Juniors (U21s), c) Cadets (U18s), d) Senior Boys & Girls (U15s), e) Junior Boys & Girls (U12s) and f) Kata.


2. State Coach's Awards (no nomination required)

a) Senior (including U21s) and b) Junior (Cadets, U15s & U12s)

These awards will be presented to athletes in each of the Senior and Junior State Squads who demonstrated commitment to training at squad sessions in the lead-up to the 2017 Nationals (category 1 winners are excluded from these awards).


3. The Sue Williams Award (no nomination required)

This is considered the most prestigious annual award for a NSW judoka.  The winner of this award will be selected from the 10 individual competitive awards in Category 1 and will be judged on the basis of the athlete that best exemplifies the core values and spirit of Judo.


4. Club Awards (nominations required)

a) Club of the Year Award - based on overall shiai and kata results, state/national representation, referee and volunteer commitment to the sport.

b) Junior Development Club Award - based on junior (Junior, Cadet, U15s & U12s) results and demonstrated commitment to junior development.

c) Inspired Club Award - based on growth, commitment and contribution to the development of Judo in NSW.

5. Referee Awards (no nomination required)

a) Referee of the Year - for excellence in refereeing.

b) Most Promising Referee Award - for a less experienced referee who demonstrates the most promise as an excellent referee of the future.


6. Volunteer of the Year Award (nominations required)

For outstanding contribution to Judo in NSW.
