2018 AUSTRALIAN OPEN

 

 

 

VENUE

 

WA Archery Centre - Jules Steiner Memorial Drive, off Beechboro Rd North in the International Shooting Complex. The first driveway on the left in the WA Archery Centre just follow the signs. Whiteman Park is located 22km north of the Perth CBD, If you are staying in the city please allow time for traffic as it is a 45 min drive during peak hour.

 

PROGRAM

 

Friday 23rd of March - Practice

 

    • Registration and Official Practice 1.00pm – 4.00pm
    • Bow Inspection 1.00pm

 

Saturday 24th of March –

 

Ranking - Recurve Women / Men WA720/70, Compound Men / Women WA720/50 - Open

 

    • Practice 8.30am
    • Scoring directly after practice

 

Teams Matchplay –

 

    • Practice 1.00pm (30mins)
    • All matches will be completed up to the gold medal match for compound and recurve. Teams must comprise of 3 archers from a single division.

 

Sunday 25th of March

 

Matchplay all divisions

 

    • Practice 8.30am
    • First Scoring Match 9.00am

 

MATCHPLAY

 

Matches will be run back to back depending on numbers; the program could change so please ensure you do not book flights on the day of the events. It is advisable to book flights Thursday the 22nd departing Monday 26th at a minimum. There may be international teams attending and we will need to amend the program if there are large numbers in each division. All matches up to the medals in the AM Sunday the 25th of March however the program can change and we may need to run individual matches on the Saturday, all final details will be supplied prior to the event and at registration once entries close.

          

 

COST

 

The cost of an individual entry is $120 and a team of 3 archers is $30 when entering a team please have one archer complete the entry including the team name.

 

MEDICAL CONSENT

 

Minors (under 18 years of age) who will not have an accompanying parent/guardian must complete an ARCHERY AUSTRALIA Parent/Guardian Consent Form and provide this to the Organising Committee before the practice day.

 

APPEALS and PROTESTS

 

A $50 Appeal fee applies to each appeal and is required to be paid on the lodgement of the appeal. If the appeal is successful, the fee will be refunded. If the appeal is unsuccessful, the fee will be retained by the Organising Committee or refunded at its discretion. All events will be conducted to World Archery, and Archery Australia Rules, as appropriate. 

 

CATERING 

 

Catering will be available each day at the venue, ordering for lunches is daily before 10am. Bacon and egg rolls and toasted sandwiches will be available each morning. There will be a variety of food and any special dietary needs, please feel free to contact us to discuss any special needs.

 

DRESS REGULATIONS 

 

In order to present the best possible image for our sport, to our sponsors and to the general public, the Organising Committee will be enforcing ARCHERY AUSTRALIA Rules (7.10) in respect of athletes dress. 

 

MEDALS 

 

Medals will be awarded in accordance with the ARCHERY AUSTRALIA Rules (7.13.7). These will be awarded and presented at the venue on the completion of the individual Matchplay.

 

RESULTS 

 

Scoring will be live on line using IScored.today. Results will be published in Archers Diary for the ranking round with a link to the ARCHERY AUSTRALIA website.  The websites of AA and AWA will have the final Matchplay schedule.

 

NOTE: Entries may be limited to the first 128 entries, to avoid disappointment get in early.
