FLAC Centre Championships 2019

NOTE: First Event starts at 8:00am and the program will conclude at approximately 3:00pm. A final timetable will be published on our website in the week prior.

Please read all information below for details about the event/conditions of entry and answers to Frequently Asked Questions.

Entries:

All entries are to be completed online and payment received by 11:59pm on Saturday 23rd February 2019. There will be no paper based entries this season, and no late entries will be accepted under any circumstances.

Requests to alter events chosen by an athlete cannot be made after this date.

Please note that athletes will need their LAVic/Registration username and password in order to register (please click on the "Username and Password" link at the top of this page or contact Jules Coleman - julescoleman.flac@gmail.com - if you require assistance with this).

Entry Fee & Payment:

$6.00 per event or $20.00 for 4 events (maximum of 4 events per athlete). As event costing, scheduling and official’s rosters are based on entries received, there are strictly no refunds available once entered.

Once entry is completed online, click 'Submit & Pay Online' to make payment online at the time of entry using Visa/MasterCard or PayPal (including debit cards) up until the entry cut off time (11:59pm on 23/02/2019).

Alternatively, if you click 'Submit Now', payment can be made in person via cash or EFTPOS in the pavillion on normal competition days up until 11:30am on Saturday 23rd February 2019. Please note that if you elect to use this option, cash or EFTPOS payment must be received by this date and time as otherwise your entry will be automatically deleted from the system and your athletes will not be able to compete.

Please note that the IMGSTG transaction fee ($1.82 per transaction) applies to all online payments. Payments made in person will not attract this fee.

Confirmation of Entry:

Once your entry is complete and payment is received, your name should appear on the "Confirmed Entrants" listing and you should have received a confirmation email. If not, please contact Malcom Huddle (malcom.huddle.flac@gmail.com) to check the status of your entry.

Timetable:

The first event commences at 8am and the program will conclude at approximately 3pm. The final timetable/program for all events will be published on Monday, 25th February 2019.

The program is subject to change without notice.

A copy of last year's timetable can be accessed here - however please note that this is intended to be used as a guide only, as events may be combined or times changed depending on final entry numbers.

As event costing, scheduling and official’s rosters are based on entries received, entries cannot be changed or refunded after entries close on 23/02/19, regardless of timetable changes.

In the event of a timetabling clash, track events take precedence over field events. Athletes will need to leave their field event to compete in their track event, and athletes will be able to return to their field event once their track event has concluded.

Marshalling:

Athletes are required to marshal at the appropriate flag (as indicated once the timetable is published) at least 10 minutes prior to their event's scheduled start time. Announcements will be made as reminders, but individual athletes will not be called over the PA system.

It is the parent and athlete's responsibility to ensure they marshal on time.

Athletes not present by their event's scheduled starting time will be considered as having withdrawn from that event.

Competition Conditions:

Full and correct FLAC Centre Uniform (including Coles patch) must be worn, or athletes may be disqualified and centre records (if applicable) will not be recognised.

The FLAC Executive/Organising Committee reserves the right to cancel or merge any event with insufficient entries (minimum of 3 entrants per event).

No protests will be allowed or entered into. The decision of the Competition Director is final.

Where age groups are combined any official Centre Record achieved will be acknowledged.

The program is subject to change without notice.

Field Events:

In field events the best of four tries (except high jump) will be judged as the winner.

In the event of a timetabling clash, track events take precedence over field events. Athletes will need to leave their field event to compete in their track event, and athletes will be able to return to their field event once their track event has concluded.

Finalists:

Where heats are required, the first place in each heat then the next fastest times will be used to make up the final.

Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Ribbons will be awarded to 4th to 8th place.

Duties:

Parents must sign up for a duty for their child to be eligible to compete. Athletes whose parents refuse to do duty will be disqualified and be ineligible to be presented with medals or ribbons.

The duty signup system can be accessed here.
