                         Single 720 QRE - all age divisions …. $16

                         (Archers may enter the single am round or single pm round or both)    

 

TIMES:                08.00 Gates open

                            08.30 Equipment inspection

                            08.40 Official practice (minimum of 20 minutes)

                            09.00 Scoring

A lunch break will be held at the end of the first 720 round.                           

Continuation of QRE for the second 720 round commences immediately after lunch.

Archers shooting the second round must be at the venue by 11.00 to sign in.

Prior registration is essential. The event will be cancelled if less than four archers of cadet age or older have registered by the closing date for entries.  The event will also be cancelled if the required number of archers do not turn up on the day or complete the event.

 

Competitors please ensure that you bring your current AA membership card with you as you may not participate without proof of current membership. AA, SQAS and SVTA rules and policies apply at this event.

 

Archers are required to enter arrow values in Archers Diary before leaving the venue. To make this easier please bring a smart device with you so that scoring can be done at the target.

 

Archers are on display to the public and are required to be appropriately attired at the event and please remember to Slip-Slop-Slap and drink adequate water during the event. Please let the organisers know on the day if you have any issues with photos being taken.

 

Lunch is not available however there are food outlets in Samford village. Drinks can be purchased from the canteen.

 

The tournament will be held in accordance with World Archery, Archery Australia, SQAS and SVTA rules and policies.

 

Location:    The Samford Valley Target Archers at Samford Parklands is located about 500m north of Samford Village on Mount Samson Rd (the Samford to Dayboro road) the old entrance is still open for a turn in at the council depot (old CSIRO glass houses), however there is a new entrance with better sight distances at the tennis courts which is about 1km further on, then follow the long internal road back to the club.

Age Divisions 2018

 

1. Cubs                               

Anyone born in the year 2005 or since then i.e. they are younger

An athlete may compete in the cub class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 13th birthday.

 

2. Intermediate 

Anyone born in the years 2003 or 2004

An athlete may compete in the intermediate class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 15th birthday.

 

3. Cadets 

Anyone born in the years 2001 or 2002

An athlete may compete in the cadet class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 17th birthday.

 

4. 20 and Under (if under 18 years old)

Anyone born in the years 1998 or 1999 or 2000

An athlete may compete in the junior class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 20th birthday.

 

6. Open      

Anyone born in 1969 to 1997 inclusive

An athlete of any age may compete in the open class in tournaments.

 

7. Masters 

Anyone born in the years 1959 to 1968

An athlete may compete in the master’s class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 50th birthday and thereafter.

 

8. Veterans 

Anyone born in 1949 to 1958 inclusive

An athlete may compete in the veteran’s class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 60th birthday and thereafter.

 

9. Veterans 70+ 

Anyone born in or before 1948 i.e. they are older

An athlete may compete in the veteran 70+ class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 70th birthday and thereafter.
