Harcourts Northern Region Junior Surf Interclub Carnival #2

Saturday 11th January 2020 - Ruakaka Beach

The second Northern Region Junior Surf inter-club carnival for the 2019-20 season will be held at Ruakaka on Saturday 11th January 2020. This is a participation carnival. Finals will not be run.

WAIPU TRAINING CAMP 8th - 10th January

RUARKAKA 'fun' CARNIVAL 11th January at Ruakaka Beach

Events: Beach Sprint; Beach Relay; Surf Race; Board Race; Diamond Race.

(7yrs & non-badged 8yrs will replace Run-Swim-Run with Run-Wade-Run & Board events will be on boogie boards)

Entry fee: $25.00        Entries Close: 15th December 2019

WAIPU TRAINING CAMP information

8 - 10 January: Assemble and sign in at Waipu Cove Surf Club:

These sessions will be mainly in the sea getting use to the different conditions.

9.15am sign in (training from 9.30am for 1.5 – 2 hours)

1.45pm sign in (training from 2pm for 1.5 – 2 hours)

Assistance required with coaching/managing/water safety.  No charge for training. 

Essential equipment – club togs, club beanie and pink vest

Payment can be made online using the "submit and pay" option when you register.

We need lifeguards and officials from our club to support the event, please indicate on the entry where you can assist.

The final programme will be influenced by the weather conditions of the day. The Event Management Committee may alter competition courses in order to address safety or to account for tidal, sea and beach condition changes. As far as possible they will undertake to provide all participants with fair and equal conditions.
