SUNDAY

Registration open from 7:30am
Practice commences 8:00am
First scoring arrows 8:30am

Team Head to Head Round Robins:
There will be two divisions for this Tournament, Open Recurve and Open Compound (Please note that both genders will compete in the same category).

Groups of three person teams will be created on the day utilising entrants ranking scores from the Saturday (size of groups will be determined by the number of entries in each division).

Compound Open Division
Within a group teams will shoot standard 24 arrow matches in a round robin format against each other and gain two points for a win or one point for a draw (Please note that shootoffs will not occur in these rounds).

A cut will then be performed taking the top scoring teams into a second group stage. This group will then shoot another set of standard 24 arrow matches in a round robin format against each other and gain two points for a win or one point for a draw (Please note that shootoffs will not occur in these rounds).

Following this second round of matches the top 5 teams will be ranked and enter into a shootup format, i.e. the team ranked 5th will shoot against the team ranked 4th, the winner of that match will shoot against the team ranked 3rd etc until a winner is declared.

All archers will shoot on 80cm spot targets at 50m and will have 2 minutes to shoot 6 arrows in standard team format. Alternating shooting format will be used for the shootup finals matches.

Recurve Open Division
Within a group teams will shoot standard recurve team matches in a round robin format against each other and gain two points for a win or one point for a draw (Please note that shootoffs will not occur in these rounds).

A cut will then be performed taking the top scoring teams into a second group stage. This group will then shoot another set of standard recurve team matches in a round robin format against each other and gain two points for a win or one point for a draw (Please note that shootoffs will not occur in these rounds).

Following this second round of matches the top 5 teams will be ranked and enter into a shootup format, i.e. the team ranked 5th will shoot against the team ranked 4th, the winner of that match will shoot against the team ranked 3rd etc until a winner is declared.

All archers will shoot on 122cm targets at 70m and will have 2 minutes to shoot 6 arrows in standard team format. Alternating shooting format will be used for the shootup finals matches.

Recurve matches will be scored using the recurve set system whereby the winner of an end scores 2 set points and tied ends score 1 set point each. A match is won once a team reaches 5 set points, and is drawn if both teams score 4 points.

Barebow Open Division
Matches will be run the same as the Recurve Open Division, except on 122cm targets at 50m.

General Notes for all Divisions

  • We reserve the right to change the size of groups within each category as well as the number of rounds of matches due to the number of entrants (this will be published before archers start shooting)
  • Teams will be determined on Saturday 23rd following the closure of the ranking round. As an initial trial of this tournament, teams will be determined using the results of the ranking round, the process for this may vary dependant on number of entrants in each category on the Saturday.
