Practice                               8.30am (minimum of 20 minutes)

If required a 2nd WA720 round will be scheduled to be shot in the afternoon.

NON ARCHERY AUSTRALIA CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRIES:

Archery Alliance members and World Archery affiliated members are eligible to enter into Archery

Australia categories and Archery Australia rules will apply.

 

DIVISIONS:

Compound, Recurve, Barebow Recurve

 

TEAMS:

Team registrations will open on 1st August.

Only the top 16 teams will compete in matchplay.

Archers who are looking for a team or an extra team member can email teams@archerysqas.org.au
with your name, gender, bow type and email/phone number.
By doing so you consent to these details being given to other archers looking for team members.

 

PAYMENT:

Payment is by credit card or Paypal.

 

ENTRIES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED WHEN ACCOMPANIED BY PAYMENT

 

WITHDRAWAL/REFUNDS:

A full refund, less a 10% administration fee, will be made if the Organising Committee is advised of the withdrawal before the closing date for entries, i.e., 10.00pm 31th August 2022.

 

If this advice is received after the closing date, any refund made will be at the discretion of the Organising Committee.

 

CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS:

For the individual events, Archery Australia Open Championship Medals will be awarded in all divisions.

 

Matchplay Prize Money (Sponsor – Archery Australia):

·        Winners of matches for 1/8 to 1/2 receive $50

·        Bronze medallist will receive a total of $300 (1/8 + 1/4 + Bronze)

·        Silver medallist will receive a total of $600 (1/8 + 1/4 + 1/2 + Silver)

·        Gold medallist will receive a total of $1050 (1/8 + 1/4 + 1/2 + Gold)

Where a division does not have enough competitors to shoot a 1/8 round the $50 will not be awarded here.

Where an archer has a bye for the 1/8 or 1/4 round the $50 will be provided for this match.

 

The above applies to each of the following divisions:

Matchplay Bows (Sponsors – Pats Archery & Hoyt & Archery Australia):

Gold medallists will receive a bow in the following divisions:

Presentation of medals will be conducted at the conclusion of shooting the round.

Prize money will be paid to winners via bank EFT. Archery Australia will open a GameDay portal for 14 days where prize winners can enter their bank details.

DRESS REGULATIONS:

In order to present the best possible image for our sport, to our sponsors and to the general public, Archery Australia Rule 7.11, Dress Regulations, will be enforced. No apparel depicting hunting type imagery or camouflage. No activewear. No boardshorts.

 

NOTES:

As electronic scoring via Archers Diary will be available for this event, all archers are responsible for ensuring your scores are entered into Archers Diary at the completion of the event.

 

Registration is essential and will only be accepted when accompanied by payment.

 

Please remember to slip, slop, slap, and use insect repellent before shooting, and drink plenty of water during the event.

This tournament will be shot under World Archery, Archery Australia and SQAS rules and policies.

 

Covid 19 precautions will be required to be followed.

 

Please advise the organisers if you have any issues with photos being taken by the official photographer.

 

Competitors are to ensure that you bring your current AA membership card with you as you may not participate without proof of current membership.

 

Lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase on each day of the event. Lunch will NOT be available. There are several take-away outlets a short drive away in Samford Village.
