Description of Round(s):
WA 720 Rounds:
Para Open Recurve - 70m (122cm),
Para Open Compound - 50m (80cm, 6 ring),
Para W1 (Rec/Comp) - 50m with a 80cm 10 ring face,
VI 1, VI 2/3 - 30m (80cm).
Type of Event: National Championships
Important Notes:
1) If your category is showing as FULL in the online entry form please contact the organisers to access options.
2) All fees must be paid in AUD $.
3) All arrow agents/spotters MUST wear a Hi-Vis Vest or jacket, when they are on the field whether scoring or collecting arrows.
4)International archers (from outside Australia) who achieve a medal position after 'the Nationals' Match Play' will receive a Visitor's Medal.
5) All attendees must abide by ChildSafe regulations.
6) All attendees must follow any COVID rules and restriction in place at the time of the event.
Special Conditions
This event is an ONLINE ENTRY event! Applicants paying by other than online will only be processed after their payment has been cleared.
A minimum of a National Classification is required to compete at this event. Classifications will be available on Friday 27th January upon lodgement of the appropriate Classification Forms and an appointment with the Classifiers..
ALL classifications must have the correct ‘documentation’ as per World Para Archery Rules & Regulations. Paperwork covering your specific classification must be carried at all times – you will be asked to present this during the competition.
ALL vision impaired classifications MUST be completed on the appropriate form. The completed form or an international classification from World Para Archery is to be forwarded to: amaxworthy@archery.org.au at least one week before the start of the championships.
Membership Cards (or proof of payment) for ALL archers will need to be presented at registration. If you have any concerns/queries, please contact us.
Scoring:
A combination of electronic scoring and paper scoring will be used for this event.
Please bring a smart phone with iscored.today bookmarked & be familiar with it's use.
Special Needs
Please be aware that Waverley City Archers are not providing any food specific to dietary needs. You may need to provide your own lunch and/or snacks etc. Please contact Hazel Hockley for possibilities.
Closing Date
Online entries close at 11.59pm (AEST) on Saturday 7th January 2023 or before if the maximum numbers of entries is reached for each flight.
Medals
Medals will be awarded in accordance with Archery Australia and/or World Para Archery Rules, after Match Play.
National medals will be awarded to Australian archers. Any international archers achieving a medal position, will receive a 'Visitors Medal'.

From 9.00am – Classifications if required.
Unofficial practice - ALL archers to register a specific time, thereby ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to practise. Information to follow later regarding the repractise allocation.

12noon – 1pm – FIELD CLOSED – SITE INSPECTION.
1.00pm to 4.30pm - Registration & Official Equipment Check aand inspection of classification paperwork.

Saturday 28th January 2023 - WAO Para Grand Prix
8.300 am Opening Ceremony
Flight 1:
9 am approx. – Official Practice.
9.20 am approx. – Beginning of Ranking 720 Rounds.
11.50 am approx. – Lunch (Spit Roast & Salads) after completion of Ranking Round & scores handed to the Recorder before leaving the field of play.
Results will be published/displayed, following the succesful collection of completed scoresheets.
Flight 2:
12.50 pm approx. – Official Practice.
1.10 pm approx - Beginning of Ranking 720 Rounds.
3.40 pm approx. – Tea, coffee & nibbles after completion of Ranking Round & scores handed to the Recorder before leaving the field of play.
Results will be published/displayed, following the succesful collection of completed scoresheets.
Sunday 29th January 2023 - National Para/VI Championships
Flight 1:
9 am approx. – Official Practice.
9.20 am approx. – Beginning of Ranking 720 Rounds.
