Beginners Course February 2023

Our Beginners' Coaching Courses are conducted by Coaches accredited with Archery Australia and participants are taught the basics of shooting and safety. All equipment for the course is provided by the Club. (Each course comprises 2 x 3-hour sessions.)

Sundays - 5th & 12th February 2023

9.00 to 12.00 pm Please make sure you arrive on time.

Our Course is held at the Kapunda Harness Track 41 Hancock Rd, Kapunda. Please enter the carpark gates and park outside the main entrance. Follow the signs to our meeting point.

$100.00 per person payable by credit or debit card in this registration process. This fee, or any part of this fee, is not refundable in the event you fail to attend the course.

NOTE: Courses are limited to 10 places and are expected to fill quickly; once a class is full, no further registrations can be accepted. As soon as you have registered, your name will be added to the "confirmed participants" listing for this course.

If you are unable to register for this course, it means it is fully booked. Check our website for alternative sessions.

Our beginner's sessions are available to anyone 10 years or older. A parent/guardian must be in attendance with any person under the age of 15 years.

Participants are expected to wear sensible clothing. If long sleeves are worn, they need to be close-fitting. Closed-in footwear is required and the wearing of a hat (bucket type is best) is encouraged. Remember to bring a drink bottle and snack for break.

Archery is not a sport that is greatly affected by rain. If it is light intermittent rain, it is likley the session will go ahead. Only strong winds and heavy rain are likely to change training to our undercover facility.

The Club does have a hot weather policy, however: Beginners courses are run in the mornings and in the occurance that undercover shooting should not be available that week's training component of a course will be rescheduled for future date.

Registrations close 10:00 pm, Saturday 4th February 2023 (unless capacity is reached earlier).

Due to our COVID plan, we require all visitors onsite to sign our register, use hand sanitiser and maintain social distancing rules. Once equipment will be issued to you, it will be designated for your use solely over the complete instructional course period. This will include bow, arrows, ground quiver and personal protection. Our COVID guidelines also includes washing hands regularly, coughing or sneezing into elbow and to remain at home if you are feeling unwell. Make up classes will be available if needed so as not to miss out.
