The 2023 Golden Gong

The Golden Gong is for novice archers of all age divisions and makes the perfect introduction to archery competitions in a relaxed environment.

The tournament is conducted under normal tournament rules and conditions with experienced archers will be on hand to assist all day.

Rounds to be shot: 30, 25, 20 metres, 30 arrows at each distance, 90 arrows total all shot on a 122cm face.

Scoring will be arrow by arrow on paper and in Archer's Diary.  Please bring your (fully charged) smart phone or tablet if you have one.

Registration is from 9:15am; shooting starts at 10am.

NOTE: Daylight saving ends at 3am on Sunday 2 April 2023. Clocks will be put back one hour.

Entry fees

Early entry is recommended as space is limited.

Early bird - $20 before midnight on Monday 20th March, 2023.

Full registration - $25 (from Monday 20th March, 2023)

Final entries close midnight on Sunday 26th March, 2023.  Online entry and fee payment only.

Getting Here

Location: Illawarra Archer's Range, Mt. Keira Road, Mt. Keira.

Note: Coming from Sydney or Canberra, Mt Keira Rd is now open from both directions and can be accessed from Picton Road.

Food and Drink

Canteen facilities are available throughout the day.

Illawarra Archers will provide a free BBQ sausage sizzle for competitors at the completion of shooting for the day.

Eligibility

Verification of Club Membership: Click here for information about the requirement to verify your membership to either an Archery Australia affiliated Club or an Archery Alliance Association (ABA, 3DAAA or TAA).

Note: No dogs are permitted on the Illawarra Archers' grounds unless on a lead and under the control of a responsible adult at all times.
