Whittlesea City Cross Country 2024

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Little Athletes (U6 - U17) must be a registered & financial member with LAVic prior to completing this application.

CROSS COUNTRY FEE

$35 per member

PROGRAM / COMPETITION 
Our members compete in the Division 1 competition which comprises of various centres from the Northern Metro Region. A draft Calendar will be available on the Centre website once finalised.

UNIFORM
Whittlesea City singlets are required along with Coles Patches and Commonwealth Bank Athlete competition tags. Please contact Maria on 0409 977 899 to purchase a Whittlesea uniform.
 
TRAINING

Dates and Times are currently TBA, please check the Whittlesea City Website and Social pages for updates.

Cross country training will be with Diamond Valley LAC.

Training will be held at Eltham Lower park (miniature train). Not suitable for inexperienced runners or athletes under 10 years of age. Younger athletes can still attend but must be accompanied by a parent whilst running on the trails.

And Willinda Park suitable for all athletes.  Parents are encouraged to assist in the training sessions. Please contact Brad on 0419 877 599 for more information regarding training.

DISTANCES

Whether you participate in your local Centres Cross-Country program or are a part of a program with Little Athletes from other Centres, children will all be competing across the same distances. These distances are as per the Centre Level Standard Events Table found on the LAVic Rules and Regulations page. https://lavic.com.au/competition/rules-and-regulations/
  • U6 - 500m, U7-8 - 1km, U9-10 - 1.5kms, U11-12 - 2kms, U13-17 - 3kms.
