It is my pleasure to inform you that the BFI, in conjunction with FIBA will be conducting four (4) FIBA Coaching Certification courses in India.  The details of the clinics are below:

Cities/Dates:

• Hyderabad - 21-25 August 2014
• Assam - 27 August - 1 September 2014
• Ahmedabad - 3-7 September 2014
• Ludhiana - 9-13 September 2014

Curriculum will be based on FIBA “Basketball for Young Players” book & CD for U13-U18 (can be found at http://www.fiba.com/pages/eng/cl/training/p/bb-for-young-players.html)

Program Schedule:

• 5 day clinic
• Days 1 – 2:  Theoretical Class Sessions
• Days 3 – 5:  Practical Teaching Court Sessions
• Day 4:  Examination
• Level 1 Certification Passing Requirements:
• 1 - 75 % to pass examination
• 2 - Practical Teaching Court Sessions will also factor into passing of Level 1 Certification.  Practical session passing will be at discretion of FIBA Coach.
• Registration criteria
• English speaking (must be able to understand and write in English)
• Young, beginner level coach
• Ideally, a coach who focuses on teaching players between the ages of 10 – 16

• Applications will be reviewed by FIBA and BFI and deserving applicants will be selected and informed through a confirmation email
• Please note this is an APPLICATION, filling this out does not mean you are automatically accepted for the course.  You will receive a confirmation letter on BFI letterhead once you have been accepted.  

All costs of attending the course - Room & Board, transportation, etc. - are the responsibility of the attending coach.  Please note there is no registration fee for attending this course.
