Which Men's grade is right for me?

A Elite - Otherwise known as Division 1 at State Opens, this grade is suitable for those riders who are strong A Grade riders in other races across Sydney, riders who are riding in either NRS teams, development teams or private race/coffee teams. Riders should be experienced and are looking for a very competitive and high class field.

A Grade Masters - This is for Masters riders aged 40 years or older who still considers themselves A Grade masters riders.

A Grade - Otherwise known as Division 2 at State Opens, this is for riders stepping up from B Grade or for riders who are under 40 but are not of an elite standard.

Translation for State Open language:

  • A Masters =  Riders born in 1979 and earlier (40 years or older) at the highest level of ability within this age bracket.
  • A Elite / NRS = Division 1
  • A Grade = Division 2
  • B Grade = Division 3
  • C Grade = Division 4
  • D Grade = Division 5

Women's Grades:

Three women's grades are on offer, please indicate upon entry which grade you wish to enter. While your request will be taken into consideration, your final grade will be determined by the state handicapper and may vary from your request.
