Cross Country is our Winter Athletics season. We run and race-walk longer distances, on all types of tracks…anywhere except an athletics field! We run through sand, mud puddles, bushland and open grass; in all weather conditions.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS SEASON VENUE HAS CHANGED BACK TO SEAFORD NORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL HALLIFAX STREET, SEAFORD 

All are welcome to join and compete, including athletes not currently registered with Little Athletics for the 2018/2019 season. New athletes (who had not registered in summer) aged U6 to U16 must register with LAVic for the winter season first. To register with LAVic please click here first. You can then return to complete this registration. LAVic Winter registrations open early April.

The below costs covers all our local costs of running the season, including season end trophies. It includes free entry to events at Seaford Cross Country Open Day.

Cross Country only                               $40
Walking only                                         $25
Both Cross Country and Walking         $60

Athletes who do not wish to commit for the season can instead pay $5 for each week they attend at Seaford, but they will be listed as ‘casual’ athletes and may not be eligible for trophies, awards or course records. (No online registration is required for these athletes)

Mums and Dads are welcome to have a run or walk too – our Open Age races are very popular and cater for all standards. All open athletes (except athletes currently registered with Seniors/Athletics Victoria) must sign a waiver acknowledging that they compete at their own risk.

On most Saturdays we hold Race Walking events. We also conduct a number of team and special events, including our enormously popular ‘Obstacle Course Nominated Times’ and ‘Nominated Times Team Relay’ events, as well as attend Open Days and Championship Events.
