JUNIOR BEGINNER COURSE

(their parents are allowed to register as well)

NOTE: parents of children registered in this course may also register and shoot alongside their child and will receive the same accreditation as if they completed the adult course. Parents must register and pay for themselves and their children.

Our courses are conducted by Instructors accredited with Archery Australia and participants are taught the basics of shooting and safety. All equipment for the course is provided by the Club (each course comprises 3 Saturday morning sessions).

DATES:

Saturdays - 5th, 12th & 19th August 2023

TIME:

8.30 to 11.30 am (please arrive 30 minutes before the session's scheduled start time)

FEES:

$125.00 per person payable by credit or debit card in this registration process. This fee, or any part of this fee, is not refundable in the event you fail to attend the course.

NOTE: Courses are limited to 16 places and are expected to fill quickly; once a class is full, no further registrations can be accepted. As soon as you have registered, your name will be added to the "Confirmed participants" listing for this course.

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

These junior beginner's sessions are available to children aged 9 years - 18 years. A parent/guardian must be in attendance with any child under the age of 15 years. Note for these sessions, the parents of the children may also register for the course as noted at the top of the page. The club also runs an adult archery program on Sunday mornings which is an alternative for children aged 12 years or older (and of course for adults).

CLOTHING:

Participants are expected to wear sensible clothing. If long sleeves are worn, they need to be close-fitting. Closed-in footwear is required and a hat is encouraged (a bucket hat with soft brims is the most suitable).

WET WEATHER POLICY:

Archery is not a sport that is greatly affected by rain. If it is light rain, it is likley the session will go ahead. Only strong winds and heavy rain are likely to lead to a cancellation. In the event of a cancellation, the Club will attempt to notify you by email and/or phone (an alternative session will be arranged).

HOT WEATHER POLICY:

If the maximum temperature forecast for the day on BOM is for 38 degrees C or above, the morning's shoot is cancelled.
