BEGINNER'S COURSE

Our Beginners' Coaching Courses are conducted by Instructors accredited with Archery Australia and participants are taught the basics of shooting and safety. All equipment for the course is provided by the Club. (Each course comprises 3 x 2-hour sessions.)

DATES:

Sundays - 5th, 12th, 19th November 2023

TIME:

9.30 to 11.30 am (Please arrive at the Club about 30 minutes before the session's scheduled start time)

FEES:

$125.00 per person payable by credit or debit card in this registration process. This fee, or any part of this fee, is not refundable in the event you fail to attend the course.

NOTE: Courses are limited to 24 places and are expected to fill quickly; once a class is full, no further registrations can be accepted. As soon as you have registered, your name will be added to the "confirmed participants" listing for this course.

If you are unable to register for this course, it means it is fully booked. Check our website for alternative sessions.

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

These adult beginner's sessions are available to anyone 12 years or older. A parent/guardian must be in attendance with any person under the age of 15 years. The club also runs a juniors only archery program (AJAD) on Saturday mornings which is an alternative for children aged 9 - 18.

CLOTHING:

Participants are expected to wear sensible clothing. If long sleeves are worn, they need to be close-fitting. Closed-in footwear is required and the wearing of a hat (bucket type is best) is encouraged.

WET WEATHER POLICY:

Archery is not a sport that is greatly affected by rain. If it is light intermittent rain, it is likley the session will go ahead. Only strong winds and heavy rain are likely to lead to a cancellation. In the event of a cancellation, the Club will attempt to notify you by email and/or phone. (An alternative session will be arranged.)

HOT WEATHER POLICY:

The Club does have a hot weather policy, however: Beginners courses are run in the mornings and it would need to be extreme weather conditions, before that week's component of a course is cancelled.
