After the first 720 round there will be a lunch break.

Continuation of QRE for the second 720 round commences immediately after lunch.

Archers shooting the second 720 round must be at the venue by 11.00 to sign in.

                            WA 50/720 (compound only)

                            AA 50/720 (WA BB 50/720)                         

                            AA 40/720                  

                            AA 30/720

                            Para W1 Outdoor 50/720 (full 80cm face) 

                            VI 30/720 (full 80cm face)

All participants will be placed to shoot the round applicable to the division that they enter as per the below table.

Prior registration and payment is essential via the above. The events will be cancelled if less than four archers of cadet age or older have registered by the closing date for entries. The event will also be cancelled if the required number of archers do not turn up on the day or complete the event.

Competitors must bring their current AA membership card with them as you may not participate without proof of current membership.

Archers are required to enter individual arrow values in Archers Diary at the target. Please bring a device with you so that scoring can be done at the target.

Archers are on display to the public and are required to be appropriately attired at the event and please remember to Slip-Slop-Slap and drink adequate water during the event.

Please let the organisers know on the day if you have any issue with photos being taken.

Lunch is not available however there are food outlets in Samford. Drinks can be purchased from the canteen.

The tournament will be held in accordance with World Archery, Archery Australia, SQAS and SVTA constitution, rules, policies and procedures. Covid restrictions will apply. Please be aware that animals other than certified assistance or guide animals are not permitted on the grounds.

The Samford Valley Target Archers at Samford Parklands is located about 1km north of Samford Village on Mount Samson Rd (the Samford to Dayboro road) enter at the tennis courts and follow the long internal road down to the archery club. See the web site www.samfordarchery.org

Age Divisions in 2023

 

1. Under 14                                            

Anyone born in the year 2010 or since then i.e. they are younger

An athlete may compete in the cub class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 13th birthday.

 

2. Under 16 

Anyone born in the years 2008 or 2009

An athlete may compete in the intermediate class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 15th birthday.

 

3. Under 18

Anyone born in the years 2006 or 2007

An athlete may compete in the cadet class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 17th birthday.

 

4. Under 21

Anyone born in the years 2005

An athlete may compete in the junior class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 20th birthday.

 

6. Open            

Anyone born in 1974 to 2002 inclusive

An athlete of any age may compete in the open class in tournaments.

 

7. 50+

Anyone born in the years 1964 to 1973

An athlete may compete in the master’s class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 50th birthday and thereafter.

 

8. 60+ 

Anyone born in 1954 to 1963 inclusive

An athlete may compete in the veteran’s class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 60th birthday and thereafter.

 

9. 70+ 

Anyone born in or before 1953 i.e. they are older

An athlete may compete in the veteran 70+ class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his/her 70th birthday and thereafter.
